Thymulin bibliography

The human zinc experiment is the starting point. The binding-protein and cell-culture papers are where the story becomes especially interesting.

Human zinc study and hormone characterization

Serum thymulin in human zinc deficiency supplies the normal-plasma-zinc, reduced-thymulin-activity finding. Thymulin, a zinc-dependent hormone supplies the characterization of the hormone and its zinc dependence. Those are the starting studies for this site.

Zinc-binding proteins and mouse experiments

The alpha-2-macroglobulin study and metallothionein paper address zinc-binding partners in different settings. The oral-zinc experiment in old mice and organ-culture experiment are best considered side by side, with their different interventions in view.

Human cell preparations

The remaining papers concern marrow precursors, lymphocytes from autoimmune-disease patients and lymphocytes from severely malnourished children. All describe in vitro work. The full bibliographic entries follow.
